Dr. Gábor Kemenesi, a key virologist at the National Laboratory of Virology in Pécs, and a member of Hungary’s COVID-19 Task Force was the speaker of the Alumni Hungary Webinar series in November. He gave an exciting presentation on global pandemics and the consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic. We interviewed him about his research field and the role of communication in science.
“We set up real-time virtual connection arching over borders and continents with our self-driving vehicle, and the visitors were also taken on a test drive,” Zsolt Szalay, Associate Professor of the Department of Vehicle Technology of the BME summarized his experiences briefly of the World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS World Congress).
Between 25 and 31 October, the Study in Hungary team, and the representatives of six Hungarian universities visited Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen the long-existing relations between Vietnam and Hungary. In both cities, the delegation took part in education - and alumni events to promote Hungarian study opportunities and to further develop connections with Vietnamese alumni who graduated in Hungary recently or long ago.
