Virtual mobility is now available in the CEEPUS scholarship programme

Scholarship opportunities within the CEEPUS programme in Hungary are now available in virtual mobility form as well in the spring semester of 2020/2021 academic year.

Due to the current epidemiological situation, as a temporary measure, Tempus Public Foundation (the National CEEPUS Office Hungary) makes it possible for the incoming students and university teachers from Central and South-East Europe to implement their mobility in a virtual or hybrid (blended) form as well.

The opportunity is available within the CEEPUS programme, where scholarship holders will be eligible for a reduced scholarship grant until the end of the 2020/2021 academic year.

What is virtual and hybrid (blended) mobility?

In the case of virtual mobility, the applicant completes the professional program offered by the host institution without physical mobility, that is, without travelling to the host country. Hybrid (blended) mobility requires a partial physical presence, so the mobility can be implemented partly in physical form and partly in virtual form.

Who is eligible to start virtual or hybrid mobility?

  • All applicants who have already submitted an application to Hungary for the academic year 2020/2021 and new applications are also welcome.
  • Students in all mobility types (Student, Short Term Student or Short Term Excursion)
  • Teachers (with min. 6 hours teaching or supervising activity)
  • Both for CEEPUS network and Freemover mobilities

Deadline for applications from the CEEPUS countries: 31 May, 2021

CEEPUS, an academic exchange programme for students and university teachers from Central and South-East Europe, gives excellent opportunities for all who wish to take part in short-term studies, teaching or supervising activities.
