In 2022, the University of Pécs (PTE) was ranked for the seventh time in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings international programme. The University of Pécs was ranked 21st among the 1050 "green universities" in the world, and for the third time out of the 11 Hungarian universities included in the ranking, it was the best ranked, earning the title of the greenest Hungarian university in 2022.

Hungary has achieved outstanding success in many sports over the past decades. Our athletes among others, have won multiple Olympic gold medals. On 6 May 1875, the Hungarian Athletics Club organised its very first outdoor sports competition of both Hungary and Europe. To commemorate the occasion, we have celebrated Hungarian Sports Day on this day since 2000.
Oncoradiological patient care has been developed with a government grant of over two billion forints at the University of Debrecen. On Friday, the Oncoradiology Clinic's three new pieces of equipment and one of the world's most advanced radiation planning systems were officially inaugurated. At the event, Péter Takács, secretary of state for health, called the investment exemplary, which makes the clinic one of the leading Hungarian institutes, which is thus capable of a complete and high-quality cover of almost the entire spectrum of treatment.
