Information at the “Study in Hungary” stand were provided on Hungarian bachelor, master, PhD and Summer university programs and information about scholarship opportunities. From Hungary, the University of Debrecen participated with an independent booth, led by program director Dr. László Kozma. The exhibition, organized by the British Council represented 16 countries. After the official opening of the event, Ambassador Péter Szántó was interviewed by the MY5 TV channel. Afterwards, the ambassador gave a presentation for an audience of 150 people, followed by Dr. László Kozma's speech about foreign language courses at his university. There was quite a good turnout for the fair, in particular for the "Study in Hungary" booth. The visitors were very pleased to receive a wide range of training courses in Hungary. They were interested in almost all fields of study.
We are looking forward to the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on education, science and culture between Hungary and the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to enable the Uzbek citizens to participate in the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship.
