Inspirational presentations around the Hungarian universities

Studying at a university in Hungary offers the opportunity to meet exceptional professors and professionals. In the past months, there have been several notable events, including a visit from Nobel Prize winner Karikó Katalin, an exhibit from a world-renowned art collective, a workshop for alumni, and a researcher specializing in Sub-Saharan African studies.

Katalin Karikó's Message: Embrace Ideas and Overcome Regrets by Taking Action

On the first day of her visit to Szeged, Katalin Karikó answered journalists' questions at the University of Szeged. The interview's main focus was the Nobel Prize, which is on permanent exhibition at the József Attila Study and Information Centre, and the generous donation of five hundred thousand dollars that Dr. Karikó offered to inspire students and young researchers at the university.

The discussion was moderated by Ilona Újszászi, the curator of the exhibition and a journalist with a long-standing, direct relationship with Katalin Karikó. Ilona Újszászi is also a Directorate for International Affairs and Public Relations member at the University of Szeged.

World-famous Japanese art collective teamLab visited Budapest

On 25th April, amidst the tumult of the ongoing Russian war in Ukraine and its sprawling consequences across continents, the AEGIS (African Studies in Europe) CRG (Collaborative Research Group) Africa in the World Symposium convened a gathering of exceptional minds to delve into the intricate interplay between global conflicts and regional dynamics.

International student workshop at LUPS

On the 23rd of April 2024, the Welcome Center Department of the International Office organized the first international student alumni event, where the keynote speaker - Mr. Craig Johnson - held a thought-provoking workshop entitled “Plan your success in Hungary: Stipendium Hungaricum Alumni Network Hungary”.
