The participants also had the chance to get information about cooperation opportunities managed by Tempus Public Foundation and scholarships offered by the Hungarian side – with a special focus on the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme. This programme is managed in cooperation with partner countries; the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in case of Japan and the National Institute for International Education in case of South Korea. The events were closed by workshop sessions about the challenged and possibilities of students, teacher and staff exchanges and the tools of mobility encouragement.
Besides the representatives of Tempus Public Foundation, the Hungarian delegation consisted of 14 university representatives from the following Hungarian institutions: the Budapest Business School, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Eötvös Loránd University, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Óbudai University, Semmelweis University, Széchenyi István University, Szent István University, Tomori Pál College, University of Debrecen, University of Miskolc, University of Pécs, and the University of Szeged.
The Korea-Hungary Higher Education Forum and Reception was held on 30st October 2018 at Sheraton Seoul Palace Gangnam Hotel and attracted 30 representatives from Korean universities. The Japanese-Hungarian Partner Meeting and Networking Reception took place at the Embassy of Hungary in Tokyo on 1st November 2018 with 50 representatives of Japanese universities. Both events were opened by the Ambassadors of Hungary.
Many new partnerships were built during our visit and it proved the potential of such initiatives, therefore we hope to organise similar partner event in the future.
