The numbers are impressive: 28.535 applications have arrived from about 60 participating countries/territories! This number is twice as big as the number of those applicants who submitted their documents last year.
Regarding the number of scholarships available for them students from the following countries showed the most interest in the programme this year: Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania, Yemen, Sudan, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and Angola.
In the following month the Sending Partners will have to select those applicants whom they wish to nominate for the scholarship. Approximately 5.200 scholarships can be awarded.
When the Partners send the list of students whom they wish to nominate for the scholarship programme based on the quota available, applicants will be informed if they were nominated or not. However, only nominated students and reserve candidates will be able to continue the application process; their documents will be forwarded to the universities/colleges which were selected in the first place.
