Óbuda University, still ranked fourth among the eleven Hungarian institutions, was again ranked in the 1001-1200th range as the best Hungarian university of technology, said Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector of Óbuda University. In praising the performance of Óbuda University, the rector highlighted the university's advancement in the quality of research and the assessment of the research environment. What is more, in the Research Quality indicator, Óbuda University is the best technical university in the entire V4 region.
The rector pointed out that Óbuda University was included in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the first time two years ago, emphasizing that the university has maintained its leading position in the field of technical education. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 include 108 countries and regions. The ranking is open only to research-intensive and globally oriented universities and is the most comprehensive, balanced and rigorous benchmarking system in the world, using and measuring institutions against 17 performance indicators.
