The EAIE (European Association for International Education) was founded in 1989, and it shortly became an important European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. As part of its international activities, EAIE annually organises one of the biggest international higher education conferences and exhibitions in Europe. The event is an important meeting point for international educators from all around the world and a great platform for exchanging ideas, networking and promoting cooperation.
With the coordination of Tempus Public Foundation, a delegation of Hungarian higher education representatives were about to exhibit at the annual conference for the seventh time since 2013, however, the 32th annual event had to be cancelled due to the ongoing global pandemic. As an alternative, the EAIE Community Exchange virtual conference and networking event is going to take place on 14-16 October, 2020, with speakers from 30 countries across the world.
