The observation of the signs of climate change was one of the objectives of a 5-week expedition to Antarctica. László Radócz, head of the Institute of Plant Protection of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management of UD was the only Hungarian member of the team.

Nearly 400 international students of Szent István University stayed in Gödöllő Dormitories during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship holders decided to bring the most out of their Hungarian stay and launched an initiative called”International Students Community Garden”.

As of 15 July 2020, the Government of Hungary introduces new entry restrictions. According to Government Decree 341/2020. (VII. 12.) countries are classified into “red”, “yellow” and “green” categories, based on the severity of the COVID situation in each.
