The webinar will explore the topic of workaholism, and delve into the complex background of the problem, and its social, familial, and personal dimensions. We will look through the diverse manifestations of work addiction across genders, age groups, and professions, shedding light on potential risk factors. Moreover, we'll explore the impact of work addiction on individuals' personal lives, work-life balance, familial relationships, health behaviors, and physical and mental well-being. The presentation will also show treatment suggestions and practical advice. Our speaker, Bernadette Kun, will draw upon her research to provide the latest insights into work addiction.
About the presenter:
Dr. Bernadette Kun is a psychologist and associate professor, heads the Department of Clinical Psychology and Addiction at Eötvös Loránd University. With almost 20 years of research experience, she focuses on addictive disorders, especially non-substance-related addictions, notably work addiction. She has authored nearly 100 scientific papers and discussed work addiction extensively, contributing significantly to its comprehension. In 2022, her book "Workaholics: The Psychology of Self-Exploitation" was published.
