This time our presenter will be Dr. Tamás Haidegger, the co-founder of the award-winning life sciences and medical device company, HandInScan.
Currently, he is the associate professor at Óbuda University, serving as the director of the University Research, and Innovation Center (EKIK), and as the technical lead of medical robotics research at the Antal Bejczy Center for Intelligent Robotics. His main field of research is on medical technologies, control/teleoperation of surgical robots, image-guided therapy and assistive devices.
In this webinar, Dr Haidegger will introduce the story of HandInScan, a Hungarian health-tech company focusing on the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAI), control of outbreaks and biological contamination. HandInScan was originally founded as a spin-off of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). The device provides technology-based, quality assured hand hygiene education and control – leading to a safer and more efficient operation in areas such as healthcare, food industry, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals. Fostering technology-induced behavioral change in hand hygiene saves lives on a global scale. The innovation, the technology and the design of HandInScan have received numerous international awards.
The presentation will be broadcasted on Zoom on 2 September 2020 between 10:00 and 11:00 am (CET). After the presentation, we will have a 30 min. live Q&A session, where Mr Haidegger will be available to answer your questions.
