The undivided MSc trainings of Semmelweis University are the most popular among applicants

On the basis of the statistics prepared by the Educational Authority, the highest number of applicants applied to Semmelweis University regarding the undivided MSc trainings. During this year’s application period altogether 106 000 students have sent in their applications to higher-education institutions in Hungary, out of which 91 000 students applied for tuition free training at the first place, while 15 000 students applied for the fee paying training at the first place.

As regards the undivided MSc trainings offered at Semmelweis University 1668 application material arrived, which were handed in at Semmelweis University at the first place: 2017 students applied for BSc training and 451 students applied for MSc training. This means that altogether 4136 students chose Semmelweis University at the first place when they handed in their application material. According to the data provided by the Educational Authority, the majority of students applied for economics, teacher training programmes and technical sciences; the medical and health care training is the 4th most popular; 9.3 % of the applicants handed in their application at the first place in such a field. On the basis of the listed data most of the students applied to Eötvös Loránd University, the second is the University of Debrecen, while the third is the University of Szeged.

According to the information available on felvi.hu, Semmelweis University received applications as follows: 1145 students handed in their application at the first place for the Faculty of Medicine, 224 for the Faculty of Health and Public Services, 2245 for the Faculty of Health Sciences, 323 for the Faculty of Dentistry and 200 for the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Similarly to previous years, this year it was only possible to send in an application material electronically. The score limits and entrance examination results will be published expectedly around July 26, 2017. On the basis of the information appearing on felvi.hu, Semmelweis University can enrol 3019 students during this year’s application process.
