Huge number of Stipendium Hungaricum applications

The application deadline for Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programmes starting in the academic year of 2019-20 closed on 15 January, 2019.

The numbers are impressive: more than 28,400 applications have arrived from about 70 participating countries/territories! This number shows the significant popularity of the programme.

Regarding the number of scholarships available for the students from the following countries showed the most interest in the programme this year: Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, Nigeria, Ghana, Yemen, India and Mongolia.

In the following month the Sending Partners will have to select those applicants whom they wish to nominate for the scholarship.

When the Partners send the list of students whom they wish to nominate for the scholarship programme based on the quota available, applicants will be informed if they were nominated or not.

However, only nominated students and reserve candidates will be able to continue the application process; their documents will be forwarded to the universities/colleges which were selected in the first place.
