Gamification and behaviour design in practice - A presentation by Ádám Pusztai

Join the next session of the Alumni Hungary Webinar Series at 10 am CET on Wednesday, 9 December 2020,  in which world-famous Hungarian scientists, artists and professionals give inspiring presentations about their latest research and innovations.

This time the presenter will be Mr Ádám Pusztai, behaviour designer and founder of the company Kollektiva. Adam helps small- and mid-size businesses to improve their processes and services with the methods of gamification to make them more efficient and competitive. He is an international speaker and author of a gamification book called Practical Gamification.

The webinar will cover how gamification and behaviour design can improve services, organizational productivity or education. Games have entertained us and got our attention for thousands of years. It would be a mistake not to use game elements in non-game context to improve our work. This is gamification and it can be used in several fields from marketing through education, or even HR.

Gamification is a great way to nudge and alter human behaviour for good purposes. We can see big brands like Duolingo or Starbucks using these techniques to boost revenue, but small- and mid-sized businesses and projects can also leverage this domain. Points, badges, leaderboard – we have heard about all of these, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Gamification is just a part of what we can call ’behaviour design’. We can design better services, processes, if we deeply understand human behaviour, and how we make choices. If we understand this, we can help our users, customers, visitors to make better decisions, even about ourselves.

The presentation will be broadcasted on Zoom on Wednesday, 9 December 2020 between 10:00 and 11:00 am (CET). After the presentation, we will have a 30 min. live Q&A session, where Mr Pusztai will answer your questions.
