Hungarian University of Fine Arts
Budapest, Andrássy út 69-71.
About

The Hungarian University of Fine Arts is one of the flagships of Hungarian art education, covering all fields of fine arts. Throughout its 150 years of history, it has been seen as a reference point for art education throughout the Carpathian Basin. The University's teaching and artistic research are characterised by a duality of tradition and constant renewal and experimentation. Its professional weight and credibility are also due to its ability to keep pace with the constant change that is the intrinsic essence of all art, including fine art, for a century and a half.
Our stated aim is to provide students who choose the fine arts as a profession with a high level of knowledge, the freedom to develop their autonomous artistic personality and the opportunity to become responsible intellectuals. To this end, they can count on the support of our instructors, who are constantly reassessing tradition, and who encourage free artistic experimentation and invention.
